2006 - 2009
The paintings in this series started in 2006 as experiments to explore color relationships, paint viscosity, and effects derived from the different chemical properties of the mediums I use. Form followed process as drops of paint defined subtle modulations of shape, color, and pattern. The minimal process composed on a basic grid produced a rich effect and called to mind cell structures and biological life forms.
